Top 5 of KickStarter french campains with 500K€ of pre-orders, powered by a « CES Innovation Award », SteadXP will be on CES 2017 to launch its video stabilization device on the international market !
With more than 90M of DSLR compatible cameras 10M GoPro all around the world, the action cams market continues to develop, with the arrival of many competitors, the democratization of high-quality video production, and still the same challenge : stabilize efficiently the shots ! The SteadXP disruptive technology has been developed to offer a new competitive answer to stabilization issues : thanks to a motion recording device easily plugged to nearly all kind of cameras, combined with a performant and automatic post-treatment software, SteadXP turns any handheld video into a fully stabilized, professional grade, cinematic shot.
A user-friendly performant alternative to mechanical /VS/ 100% software solutions
It is not a new gimbal or an expensive steadycam, nor is it an Hyperlapse software. SteadXP is a matchbox-sized, motion-recording device, compatible with any camera (standard hotshoe and stereo mic inputs are the only technical requirements to use SteadXP. The built-in, high-quality, 3-axis accelerometers and gyroscopes record the camera’s rotations on a removable media (FAT16 or FAT32 MicroSD card). The replaceable and generic Li-Ion battery allows for up to 10 hours of recording. Weatherproof when connected to the camera and waterproof inside a camera bag, SteadXP is the first advanced stabilization solution working underwater.
Then, the user connects the SteadXP to his computer (USB2 Mass Storage Device), and our post-treatment software (Mac OSX or Win64 OS) will process the video running a unique, mathematically robust and powerful algorithm. The SteadXP solution can stabilize even 4K in real-time, turning any of your footage affected by rolling shutter into a Virtual Camera. The result is a perfect looking, distortion compensated / global shutter video.
In the same spirit of efficient and intuitive user-experience, the software has been designed to deliver results in a very few clicks. The software automatically uploads the footage when the device is connected. The user can try different settings on-the-fly and immediately see the results on the stabilized video preview. Going further, the solution leaves advanced users with a complete control over settings, such as the level of stabilization, reframing and resulting trajectory.
100% Made in France and ready for the market, SteadxP has been thought for both professional and novice filmmakers. “Unlike a Gimbal or a Steadycam, there is no mechanical interference between you and the camera. You can forget the gimbal setup time: SteadXP is plug and play, enabling users to start rolling within seconds. With our software, advanced Filmmakers can freely tailor the framing to reach the exact results they anticipated from the shooting. And novice users can get amazing results with no particular skills required” concludes Adrien Farrugia, inventor of the technology and CEO of the company.
